BGS International Residential School was founded in 1997 by His Holiness Jagadguru Padmabhushana Dr. Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt. It was formally inaugurated on January 19, 2001 by Bharat Ratna and the then Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. The school is regarded as one of India's premier educational institutions. It is a co-educational, residential school with foreign national and NRI students from all over the world.
