Birkdale State School was established in the year 1916. Approximately 650 pupils attend Birkdale State School, which is located in Birkdale at the intersection of Agnes Street and Birkdale Road. Birkdale State School has set ambitious targets to enhance student performance: NAPLAN Results: Aiming for 100% of eligible students to be at or above the National Minimum Standard (NMS) in Reading and Numeracy. Academic Excellence: Striving to increase the percentage of students achieving ‘A’ and ‘B’ grades, particularly in English, Mathematics, and Science, while reducing the percentage of ‘D’ and ‘E’ grades. Language Other Than English (LOTE): Ensuring that students exiting Year 6 have access to a LOTE. Inclusive Education: Providing support for Indigenous students, students verified with a disability, and students-in-care.
