Blackall State School was started in 1977 to promote academic excellence in social development among students from an early age. The school believes that all the students are autonomous individuals who have the strength and the motivation to achieve great things in life. The only purpose of the school and the teachers should be to support this drive among students and let them pursue their individual journey. This is the reason why the school pays a lot of attention towards the individuality of all the students and focuses on achievement with the help of proper guidance.

Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET): The school consistently supports students in achieving their QCE and VET qualifications. In 2021, 100% of Year 12 students were awarded either a QCE or a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA). Additionally, students obtained various VET certifications, including Certificate I and II levels, demonstrating the school’s commitment to providing diverse educational pathways.

For instance, in 2023, Mrs. Shelley Haughton was honored with a plaque from the Department of Main Roads for her 25 years of service as a crossing supervisor, highlighting the school’s appreciation for dedicated staff and community involvement.  Staff Recognition: In 2022, De Richardson was celebrated for 35 years of dedicated service and commitment to Queensland education, reflecting the school’s recognition of long-term contributions to its educational environment.
