Blacktown Girls High School was established in 1956 as a co-educational school initially. The school then transitioned into an all girls school where students from year 7 to year 12 study in a collective environment. Currently 85% of the students studying at school are from a background where their native languages are other than English. The school has a family of over 750 students with 58 teachers and 12 non- teaching staff. The school also has a brother school called the Blacktown Boys High school.
In terms of values, the school believes in inculcating a sense of empathy, resilience, creativity, problem solving skills, and learning among students. The school provides an educational experience which is diverse, holistic, and very practical in every sense.
