Blue Haven Public School was established in 1999 and provides education to students from kindergarten to year 6. The school provides teaching facilities in all the major areas and develops an explicit understanding of numeric and literacy. The school also offers targeted programmes for the development of other extra curricular activities. From time to time, the school keeps on organising various competitions and seminars to ensure an overall and holistic development of students in all spheres of life.

Rapid Academic Improvement: Between 2016 and 2018, the school demonstrated significant growth in student academic performance, particularly in the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). In 2016, Blue Haven performed below the state average in all NAPLAN domains. By 2018, it exceeded the state average in six out of ten domains and ranked in the top 10% for value-added growth from Years 3 to 5.  Recognition at National Level: In 2019, Blue Haven Public School was honored with the ‘Primary School of the Year – Government’ award at the Australian Education Awards. Additionally, Principal Paul McDermott received the ‘Primary School Principal of the Year – Government’ award, highlighting the school’s leadership and dedication to educational excellence.

Inclusive Education Initiatives: In 2024, the school introduced three multi-categorical classes, emphasizing its commitment to inclusivity and catering to diverse student needs.  Community Engagement: Blue Haven maintains a strong relationship with its community, including active participation in the Muru Bilbi Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and collaboration with the Parents & Citizens (P&C) association.  Wellbeing Programs: The school emphasizes student wellbeing through various social-emotional initiatives, ensuring that every student feels supported and valued.
