School History & Details

In 2017, the Western Australian government proposed relocating students from Perth Modern School to a newly constructed high-rise facility in the central business district of Perth. This initiative faced significant opposition from various members of the Perth Modern School community. On 13 June 2017, the proposal was revised to establish a new school at Mueller Park, situated in proximity to Perth Modern School. The new institution is anticipated to alleviate enrollment pressures at Churchlands Senior High School, Mount Lawley Senior High School, Shenton College, and Dianella Secondary College. During its planning and initial construction phases, the institution was referred to as Inner City College. Following the passing of Bob Hawke in May 2019, it was officially designated to honor his legacy.
