Boon Lay Secondary School (BLS) is a public secondary school in Jurong West, Singapore. The school opened in 1977 on a S$3.59 million campus at the intersection of Boon Lay Way and Jalan Boon Lay, with 13 courses, seven of which were English-medium and the other six Chinese-medium. The then-Member of Parliament for Boon Lay Ngeow Pack Hua officially launched it in 1979. It became an English-only school in 1998 and began offering single sessions in 2000. Boon Lay began accepting deaf students in 1996. It specifically educated deaf kids who were compelled to communicate via sign language. The Singapore government designated Beatty Secondary School as the school to teach deaf children who must use sign language in 2017, concentrating all such pupils at one school due to their small number (about 15).
Since 2017, Boon Lay has divided classes based on their students' co-curricular activities (CCA) as part of the phasing-out of streaming.
