Borroloola School has a history of fostering talent beyond academics: Daphne, an esteemed educator at the school, was honored as the Northern Territory Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Educator of the Year at the 2022 Teaching in the Territory Excellence Awards.  Shadeene Evans, a former student, became the first from her community to earn a John Moriarty Football scholarship. She was awarded MVP at the 2017 Pacific School Girl Games and has represented Australia internationally, including a debut for the Young Matildas.
