When Bossley Park Public School first opened in 1890, it had 22 students enrolled. At the age of 22, Edina Henry became the school's first teacher appointed. In August 1933, Bossley Park Public School relocated to a brand-new, still-existing wooden structure facing Marconi Road. Eight new classrooms, a school hall, an administration building and a new library were built in 1987 with the specific intention of blending in with the surrounding environment. The number of pupils attending the school increased dramatically during the 1980s and 1990s, reaching a peak of about 650.
