With around 1750 students, 170 staff members, and a decile rating of 9, Botany Downs Secondary College is a sizable, multicultural coeducational public school for Years 9 to 13 (ages 13 to 18). It is situated in East Auckland.
Our state-of-the-art classroom, which was inaugurated in 2004, fosters 21st-century skills.
Our college was established on the whānau model, wherein learners' pastoral care requirements are met by six "schools within a school."
The goal is to encourage kids to make positive behavioral choices by altering the environment, processes, and practices rather than trying to change the students themselves. Our guiding principles of integrity, empathy, respect, and excellence are embodied in "Our Way" of being at BDSC.
