School History & Details

Given the engagement of both the British and Dutch Embassy at the time of its founding in the oil business, British International School Riyadh (BISR) is one of the oldest international schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in September 1979. BISR, formerly known as the Riyadh Continental School, was established in a sizable villa to serve the educational requirements of the neighborhood's expatriate population. After swiftly growing from its initial 212 pupils to include the Saudi Arabian International Schools in March 1981, the school relocated to a new location in the Rawdah neighbourhood in 1982.
