British International School Jeddha (BISJ) has a long history of around 43 years. The school first opened as a British preparatory school in Jeddah. Later in 1977, both the British and Belgian embassies inaugurated the school, now called the Continental School, which aimed to provide high-quality education to the expatriate community in Jeddah. Soon, the school acquired international status and began admitting students of various nationalities. As the school began to get popular, the name was changed to "British International School of Jeddah in 1997. Now the school has around 1500 students coming from over 60 different nationalities. it follows IGCSE and IB curriculum. it is a private co-educational school.
