British International School of Zagreb

The British International School of Zagreb (BISZ) began operations on September 2, 2013. It has now completed eleven full academic years as an international school. BISZ is a sister school to Kreativan Razvoj Primary School, a private educational institution that has been open for 24 years. It is the oldest and most prominent primary school in Zagreb, Croatia. Over the last 29 years, Kreativan Razvoj Primary School has had foreign pupils from over 50 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, China, Russia, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Poland, and Malaysia. They have demonstrated outstanding success in studying foreign languages, particularly English, and requests made by these pupils' parents to build an international school were one of the primary motivations for the formation of the British International School of Zagreb. BISZ is thrilled to be the first Cambridge International School in Croatia to provide both Cambridge Secondary (IGCSE) and Cambridge Advanced (International AS and A Level) qualifications. Successful completion of these degrees allows students to register in any university in the world.
