The British School of Kuwait (BSK) has its roots in 1978 when Mme Vera and Mr Sadiq Al-Mutawa established a small kindergarten known as The Sunshine School. Over the years, the school experienced steady growth, despite the challenges posed by the 1990 invasion of Kuwait. By 1992, the school had expanded to accommodate 550 students in kindergarten and primary levels. Recognizing the need to cater to both primary and secondary education, the decision was made to relocate to the current site in Salwa. Thus, in September 1993, the school reopened under its new name, The British School of Kuwait, welcoming 900 students. Please note that the above information is based on the provided text and does not reflect any updates or changes that may have occurred since then.
The British School of Kuwait values academic excellence, fostering a multicultural environment, and promoting personal development.
