School History & Details

Church Stretton, Shropshire, is where Brockhurst was established in 1884.  It was so named because of Brockhurst Castle, which is located on its grounds and was constructed in 1156 by King Henry II.  The institution had a close relationship with the Royal Navy in the beginning.  Due to the disruption of WWII, Brockhurst relocated from Shropshire to Marlston House near Newbury in 1945.
