Buderim Mountain State School, which started off small in 1875 with just 18 students, now has over 1,000 students and a school culture that celebrates its strong heritage of community service. At Buderim Mountain State School, we honour the Gubbi Gubbi people, who are the Traditional Custodians of our school's land, and appreciate their ongoing ties to the land, water, and community. They honour elders from the past, present, and future. On July 5, 1875, Buderim Mountain State School debuted as a temporary institution with just eighteen students. Settler settlements created temporary schools, with an average attendance of 12 to 30.  students.
