Established in 1968, Bukit Merah Secondary School is a coed school that provides the best quality education. The School Foundation is anchored by its members who live and work toward the aspirations of the school every day. The school is thrived to provide a caring environment to students for 54 years now. The school has undergone certain changes that make it better and a good place for students to grow and develop. The teaching staff of the school is professional and well experienced they provide guidance and support to students. Achievements

Over the years the students have performed well in academics. In 2023, the students were awarded One gold, three silver, and seven bronze medals in Maths Olympia, Awarded top thirty out of 1050 students in the national Chinese language championship, bronze medal in the junior Chemistry Olympiad, and awarded the most honorable delegate award in HMUN 2023 Conference. In 2021, students participate in various competitions such as the Maths Kangaroo Contest, Science assessment, and ASEAN schools mathematics Olympiad.

The school has a good record of non-academic achievements. The students are awarded the PDS competition, 25th World Scouts Jamboree, National B Division Boys Championship in Floorball, and Inter-School B Division Girls Tchoukball Championship. In 2022, the school received the Singapore Schools Sports Council Colours Award and the Singapore Schools Sports Council Sportsmanship Award.
