Buninyong Primary School was founded in 1873 and has long been offering local families a high-quality education. Scotsburn has functioned as a second campus since the mid-1990s, allowing the school to provide both a large school and small school experience. With two locations and a total student body of 590, the school offers something for everyone. Buninyong Primary School wonderful staff team keeps kids at the core, collaborates well, and is prepared to go above and beyond to give students exceptional opportunities.

Emmeline Pye (1861–1949) was born in Buninyong and became a pioneering kindergarten educator in Victoria. While not an official alumna of the modern school, she is among the area’s most distinguished early educators.
