Formal awards & scholarships: The school participates in the Premier’s Spelling Bee and Reading Challenge, public speaking competitions, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and Nanga Mai Indigenous Education Awards. Governor‑General virtual visit: A memorable Zoom session with the Governor‑General and spouse highlighted the school’s engagement with high‑level public figures.

Mindfulness & yoga program: Regular bi‑weekly yoga and mindfulness classes, funded by drought relief programs, support student wellbeing and stress management. Resilient school culture: During floods, the community came together to keep the school running—ensuring continuity of education to its ~35 students. Community and parent engagement: Increased participation in school events like Book Week, Father’s Day, and Public Education Week reflects strong family and community support.
