School History & Details

The Cambridge Steiner School, like most newly established Waldorf schools, has grown over time as a result of the efforts and vision of many people. From informal get-togethers in parents' living rooms in 1987, a small parent and toddler group steadily expanded, bringing in families through workshops and lectures, to open its first kindergarten in 1994. The school has been fortunate to have pioneering families who were able to look past the tight and dark conditions of our prior facilities. They took on numerous administrative responsibilities, serving as volunteers to run parent and toddler classes, create crafts for our fairs and stalls, and welcome new families with a smile.

    School Values

  • Honesty
  • Kindness
  • Care
  • The early instructors' vision, which assisted in guiding the Cambridge Steiner School through its formative years, continues to inspire the institution. Together, these educators and families have created a legacy of educational customs that serve as an example for future parents. They approach learning and education holistically at Cambridge Steiner School. In practise, this means that while they base their work on the ideas and principles created by Rudolf Steiner, they also take pride in their ability to address the requirements of your kid today, living in the twenty-first century. They appreciate traits like honesty, kindness, and concern while cultivating positive relationships with one another.

School Achievements

Achievements

All of the students are given access to a joyful, nurturing, and healthy environment at Cambridge Steiner School. The opportunities for growth and learning they provide enable each person to be who they are and position them to become the person they aspire to be, all the while accepting and mindfully valuing the uniqueness of others. The school is glad that the 2022 Ofsted Inspection Report, which notes that the overall school effectiveness is good, recognises these traits. In comparison to the 2019 Inspection Report, this is a huge improvement.
