Canadian International school (CIS), was founded in 2007, it is located in Khalifa City A, which is 30Km from the capital Abu Dhabi. CIS is a  private, co-educational school who  follows the curriculum of Alberta (a province in western Canada). The Alberta curriculum supports the student- centered inquiry-based learning, which teaches students to be independent and critical thinkers, Alberta diploma is recognized internationally, hence students can apply in any international University.  CIS is highly diverse school it has around 968 students who represent over 70 different nationalities, including Canadian (22%), followed by Emirati (14%), American (13%) and British (5%).
