Canadian International School (Bangalore) is a private, co-educational school in Yelahanka, Bengaluru North, India. Yelahanka is adjacent to the Bangalore International Airport. CIS is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. This was the first school in Bangalore authorized by the IBO to provide the International Baccalaureate Programme for grades 11 and 12. Canadian International School (CIS) was founded in 1996 by two Canadian entrepreneurs under the name "Canadian School of India". It was established for students seeking an international education in a global setting. In 2002, a new board of directors took over the school, and it was renamed the "Canadian International School". In 2006, Canadian International School moved to a purpose-built campus of 15 acres. It was the first school in Bangalore authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in grades 11 and 12, and it was accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in 2011.
