Canterbury High School is based at Canterbury, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The school is one of the schools within the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. The school began operations as a comprehensive high school in 1969. It was the tenth and final high school the Collegiate Board had constructed in an effort to accommodate the increasing number of youngsters. It was regarded as an incredibly cutting-edge school when it first opened, using all of the most recent educational concepts. Canterbury provided a technical programme with an aerospace engineering focus from 1969 to 1976. Since the start of the school's arts programme in 1983, Canterbury High School has served as an arts magnet school for the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
The objectives of the Canterbury High School is to foster excellence in their students by providing them with the best opportunities in the academic, creative, and athletic realms, as well as to assist them in developing into well-rounded individuals who are concerned with and aware of their larger community.
