Canterbury High School is based at Canterbury, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The school is one of the schools within the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. The school began operations as a comprehensive high school in 1969. It was the tenth and final high school the Collegiate Board had constructed in an effort to accommodate the increasing number of youngsters. It was regarded as an incredibly cutting-edge school when it first opened, using all of the most recent educational concepts. Canterbury provided a technical programme with an aerospace engineering focus from 1969 to 1976. Since the start of the school's arts programme in 1983, Canterbury High School has served as an arts magnet school for the Ottawa-Gatineau area.

Non-Academic Achievements

Canterbury High School Non-Academic Achievements are as follows: 1. In the categories of global citizenship, entrepreneurship, arts & literature, philanthropy, and academic perseverance, students were nominated for Spirit of the Capital Youth Awards. Students from the Canterbury High School received three of the nine awards. 2. The Canterbury Visual Art Department hosted an exhibition featuring the acclaimed Firestone Collection along with senior students' artwork in collaboration with the Ottawa Art Gallery.  3. Students studying communications technology took home the top honours in the Skills Canada Photography Competition and the City of Ottawa COMPOST Radio Announcement Competition.
