School History & Details

Carey Baptist Grammar School was established in 1923 as a day and boarding school for boys, initially with the backing of the Baptist Union of Victoria. Our institution bears the name of Rev. Dr. William Carey, a Baptist missionary and self-taught linguist who devoted a significant portion of his life to aid work in 18th-century India. His dedication to learning, faith, and life of service form the foundation of the School's current philosophy.
