One of Singapore's most prestigious educational institutions, Catholic High School (CHS), is run by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore. Despite being a Catholic university, it accepts students of all faiths. The French missionary Rev. Fr. Edward Becheras, who founded the school in 1935, had humble beginnings inside the walls of the Church of St. Peter and Paul on Queen Street. In 1992, CHS moved to its current location in Bishan to accommodate the demand for spaces.
To establish CHS as a school of distinction offering innovative and difficult curricula, a pioneer in character development, and a beacon for the excellence mindset, all firmly based on Christian values.
