Cecil Hills High does exceptionally well in both academics and athletics. The kids are given the chance to compete at the top levels in swimming, cross-country, and athletics as frequent Bernera Zone champions, and they advance to regional, state, and national competitions. A variety of Combined High School (CHS) knockout competitions are attended by their students. The boys' and girls' football (soccer) teams have performed exceptionally well, winning numerous regional titles, making it to the state finals series and playing all throughout New South Wales. The academic achievements of Cecil Hills High School are well-documented. Many students who receive Band 6 grades in every course are added to the HSC All Round Achievers List each year.
