The first all-through school supported by the Chinese government outside of China, Chinese School Dubai, opened its doors in September 2021. This non-profit school is now accepting students from Kindergarten through Grade 7. It was created to provide the Chinese National Curriculum to children ages 3 to 18. In September 2020, there would be around 200 students enrolled when it opened; by late 2022, there would be more than 450. Before the Expo, there were about 250,000 Chinese living in Dubai. Chinese businesses continue to show a lot of interest in expanding in the UAE.
