Chinmaya International Residential School (CIRS) is a private school located in Siruvani, Coimbatore, India, amid the foothills of the Western Ghats. It has a 100-acre campus. It offers CBSE classes 5–12 and IB grades 11–12. Mrs. Rajeshwari (principal) presently runs the school. The school provides a variety of facilities for different activities. It is a completely residential school. Swami Chinmayananda established the Chinmaya International Residential School (CIRS) on June 6, 1996. CIRS is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) in Geneva, Switzerland. It is currently led by Swami Swaroopananda, the global head of Global Chinmaya Mission and a direct disciple of the founder, Swami Chinmayananda. CIRS has a campus area that covers 80 acres of natural vegetation and animals. The campus received the "Green School Award" from the Centre for Science and Environment in New Delhi. The school opened with 96 pupils in grades 5-8. Today, it has more than 550 pupils. It is a spiritually oriented school, with houses named after prominent Indian gurus.
