Choate Rosemary Hall was established by combining two distinct educational establishments: Rosemary Hall, a women's boarding home established in 1890, and the Choate School, operating since 1896. The school has been operating successfully under a new name since its association in 1971. Strict school uniforms are insufficient; students also need to dress in a somewhat formal and businesslike manner. Located in New England, USA, Choate Rosemary Hall is a coeducational boarding and day school serving grades 9 through PG. Choate offers gifted students from diverse backgrounds an enriching education that equips them to make a positive impact in a world that is always changing. We place a strong emphasis on creative curricula, supervised independent study, engaged campus life, and character development.
Choate Rosemary Hall's culture is centered around honesty, decency, and empathy. Every community member must be aware of, support, and aspire to the ideals of Choate in both word and deed.
