Christ Church Secondary Academy ( CHR) is a government-backed educational academy in Woodlands, Singapore. CHR has a strong academic program with a strong emphasis on character development and holistic education, as well as a variety of curricular conditioning to help scholars develop their capacities and interests. The academy's history stretches back to 1952 when it was established in Dorset Road as a private academy run by the Anglican Diocese. It became a Government- entitlement- in- Aid academy in 1972 and was renamed Christ Church Secondary Academy in 1973, with eight Secondary One classes beginning in 1973. In 1985, the academy dislocated to the old Victoria School demesne on Tyrwhitt Road and has since pushed forward to give value-added education to its scholars, achieving estimable academic issues and strengthening its character as an academy that believes in holistic education driven by scholars' requirements, bents, and abilities. In December 2001, a new lot in Woodlands was designated for the academy's relocation. Mr. S. Dhanabalan, the also- Minister for National Development, officially launched it. CHR is always enriching its class to produce confident and well-rounded scholars who are ready to meet the challenges of an ever-changing society while serving the nation. CHR now has roughly 1,100 scholars and a tutoring staff of around 80 people.
