Christian Aboriginal Parent- Directed School CAPS was founded in 1981 and is housed in Coolgardie, the site of the historic gold rush that began a century earlier. Many of the parents and Aboriginal people who initiated the programme were raised on the Goldfields on the Mount Margaret Mission. The founding members of CAPS have steadfastly dedicated themselves to fostering their students' spiritual and academic development, having had such a wonderful educational experience themselves. Their straightforward goal was to provide their kids with the same rigorous academic requirements that they had as students.
