Christ's Hospital is based at Horsham, West Sussex, United Kingdom. The school was established in the year 1552 and got the roal charter in 1553. Christ's Hospital welcomed 380 students in November 1552. The number rose to over 500 in just a year. Girls were permitted from the start, and in 1563, when the first children's register was created, 132 of the 396 children were female, though the proportion fell over time. Christ's Hospital has maintained royal support over the ages. The school went through many modifications and new buildings were added to the campus in time. Today, the school has a total strength of around 800 students. The school also works with the purpose of imparting quality education to the underprivileged.
