More than 50 years ago, Copthill School began as a small but visionary idea around a kitchen table at a farm outside Uffington. The school was founded in 1969 by Anne Teesdale, who was passionate about providing a unique educational experience for children. Her dream was to create a community that fostered a love of learning and allowed children to grow and thrive in a supportive environment. Over the years, Copthill School has grown into a thriving independent school for children up to 11 years old. The school now occupies a 350-acre site that includes state-of-the-art facilities such as a forest school, high-tech classrooms, and superb sports facilities. Despite its impressive development, Copthill School has always stayed true to its roots. The philosophy of a close-knit family community that fosters a love of learning and encourages independence in children remains at the heart of the school. Every child at Copthill is given the skills they need to become confident, capable individuals who can think for themselves and explore the world around them.
