School History & Details

Creative Secondary School is a private progressive English-medium school in Hong Kong that was established in September 2006 under the DSS (direct subsidy school) plan. CSS provides a dual curriculum that combines the IB Programme (the IB Middle Years Programme and the IB Diploma) as well as Hong Kong's normal educational curriculum (the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education). CSS is one of three schools for kids ages three to eighteen that share a common pedagogical philosophy. CPS and its kindergarten (CPSKG) were established in 1985; CPS is both an IB World School and an award-winning Inviting School.

Three pupils scored a near-perfect 43 points. The IB diploma was acquired by all students. The bilingual diploma was acquired by 41% of eligible pupils. CSS average score (out of 45): 35.7, global score: 30.2 25% of students scored 40 or higher.

Non-Academic Achievements

Inviting School Fidelity Award awarded by the International Alliance for Invitational Education (IAIE).  Ho Hang and Tania won the 2023 Hong Kong Open Youth and Children Martial Arts Age Group Competition. Faith Ip is a talented musician who won first place in the Hong Kong Joint School Music Association competition for violin solo. The inter-school athletics competition was won by the school's boys' athletics team. Yau Tsz Ching, a Form 3 student, has been chosen to represent Hong Kong at the AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers in Tajikistan.

The school has an alumni group whose goal is to keep former CSS students in touch with the school and to encourage our fellow graduates to establish a strong sense of belonging. Following the establishment of CSSAA, they hosted a variety of events for its alumni to strengthen links and network with the CSS community.
