The local Christians' desire to give their children a Christian education led to the establishment of Dalby Christian College in 1981. Australia saw the establishment of numerous Christian schools during this time period as a result of Christians' growing concerns that God was gradually losing influence in public life and education. These pioneers of Christian education inspire us with their dedication and passion. The members of Dalby Gospel Chapel first founded Dalby Christian College, and Mr. Grahame Kerr assumed the position of School Administrator. The school first employed a modified Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum and was housed in a former hospital that was purchased for $6,000. The school had about 100 students enrolled by 1983.
