Daly College, Indore

Daly College, located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, is a complex of institutions that includes a co-educational private boarding school, a day school, a private junior school, an undergraduate management school, and a postgraduate business school. Sir Henry Daly of the British Indian Army founded the school under India's colonial British Raj, modeled after an English public school. The institution began in 1870 as the Residency institution. It was later renamed East Rajkumar College in 1876 before becoming Daly College in 1882. The Resident Governor of the erstwhile Presidency created the school to educate royalty, nobility, and aristocracy children from the Central Indian Princely States of the 'Marathas', 'Rajputs', 'Mohameddans', and 'Bundelas'. It is one of the world's oldest coeducational residential institutions.
