Students and teachers at the school come from both Scandinavian and non-Scandinavian backgrounds. They offer an education based on Scandinavian ideas while adhering to the UK national curriculum, with a stronger emphasis on play, creativity, emotional and social engagement, and outdoor learning. To aid in the language development of children from Scandinavian families, they also provide formal teaching in Danish and Swedish.
