Under the direction of Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Muhammad Abdul Latif Chowdhury (Fultali Saheb), a group of concerned parents and community leaders founded Darul Hadis Latifiah in 1978 as an Islamic education centre to address the growing but largely unmet needs of the local Bangladeshi Muslim parents to educate their children in the Qur'an and Shariah. The first location where classes were held was a rented home in New Road, London E1. Local community leaders secured enough money to purchase the site solely via private donations with the intention of constructing a permanent facility for the neighbourhood where Islamic studies and Bengali (mother tongue) programmes would be held.
Darul Hadis Latifiah goal is to establish a reputable independent school for Muslim kids where they may fully develop both their academic abilities and their faith in Allah. Students will learn happily alongside one another in a nurturing, family-like environment at the school. The values thet they try to insill are as follows:
