Delta Secondary School is based at Delta, British Columbia. The school was established in the year 1912 and the school's first two rooms were constructed in 1912 and a third room was added in 1916. Originally constructed in 1926 as an elementary school (grades 1–8), Delta Central School was expanded and modernised for senior students in 1938, and a new elementary school was constructed on the same site. The first school to occupy the location where Delta Secondary School is now was Delta Central School. In 1938, secondary students were first admitted. The school is specifically a secondary school that has classes from Grade 8 to Grade 12.
The mission of Delta Secondary School is to support its residents as they pursue personal growth and success. They aim for greatness both within and outside the classroom and in all that they do for the community at large. As a school, they embrace diversity and inclusion and work to make sure that all extracurricular activities are accessible, fair, and inclusive for all students.
