The Discovery College (DC) was established in 2006 and is one of 21 schools run by the English Schools Foundation (ESF). To serve the needs of the local and expatriate communities in Hong Kong the DC was established by the English Schools Foundation. It is a full Years 1 to 13 school offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) for Years 1-6, for Years 7-11 Middle Years Program (MYP), and for Years 12-13 Diploma Program (DP). As a Private Independent School, in its admission policy DC has no catchment area and from all over Hong Kong the students can apply to study. The school community enjoys exceptional facilities on its state-of-the-art campus. In addition to being an IB World School, DC is also fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Colleges and Schools (WASC) etc.

The Discovery College has had the following academic achievements:- 1. ICAS Medal: 15 students have won an ICAS Medal as the top student in a subject at their year level in Hong Kong. 2. InCAS assessment: 97.5% of Year 1 and 85% of Year 2 students exceeded the PIPs mean. 3. IB Diploma Visual Arts Showcase: Graduating visual arts students achieved the highest IB results across the DP subjects with an average of 6.5. DC also offers the following secondary awards:- 1. Academic Excellence. 2. Growth Awards. 3. Outstanding Individual Contribution to Community Engagement/CAS/Service Learning etc.

Sports: DC is accredited by the World Academy of Sports. DC also participates in the International Schools Sports Federation Hong Kong (ISSFHK). 2. Community engagement: DC awards students for their contributions to community engagement, service learning, and CAS. 3. Arts: DC awards students for their contributions to the arts. 4. Hosting: DC hosted the Asia-Pacific ATL Symposium. DC also has a budget surplus. In 2022, all 75 students in the graduating class earned their qualifications and were able to attend universities around the world, etc.
