Important Information

The Discovery College Fee Details are as mentioned below:-

1. Application Fee:

The application fee is HK$2,800. Based upon the user-pay-principle this fee is a non-refundable, non-transferable administration fee whereby on a cost-recovery basis the fee level is determined. The collection of this fee does not constitute any assurance that an interview or a school place will be offered i.e. due to the high number of applications.

2. Deposit:

There is a 2-month deposit upon offer of a place, which for Primary it is HK$28,800; for Secondary (Years 7-11) it is HK$37,960 and for Secondary (Years 12&13) it is HK$38,260.

3. The fee details also include Non-refundable Building Levy (NBL), Advance Fees Payment and Scholarships, etc.

Scholarship

The Discovery College offers a limited number of scholarships for exceptional secondary students. The scholarships are available in the following areas: Academics, Community Engagement, Sports, Music, Drama, Visual arts, and Design.

To receive a scholarship, students must demonstrate leadership among their peers in academics and community service. The award level is determined by a committee.

To students entering Year 7 and above the scholarships are awarded. For a full or partial scholarship, external applicants may be considered. Annually the level of scholarship award is reviewed.

In the Service Agreement between the ESL and EDB as stipulated, 10% of the annual school fee income for DC is set aside for scholarships. For support of the Financial Assistance Scheme, of this 10% a total of 2% is reserved etc.
