Since 1995, Qatar has had a private international school called Doha International School (DIS). under the direction of Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education. All students enrolled in the school will receive instruction in the three mandatory subjects (Arabic, Islamic education, and Qatar History), whether in Arabic or English for students who do not speak Arabic. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will provide the required textbooks, and the school will adhere to its curricula and standards in the use of mandatory materials (Arabic). As for the other disciplines, they were studied in English according to Californian curriculum requirements (English, Math, and Science).
