The Dubai International Academy, Al Barsha, was established in 2018 and is the fifth school by the Innoventures Group, which includes the DIA Emirates Hills and the  Raffles International School. The DIA, Al Barsha, like its sister schools, follows the IB program from Pre-KG until Grade 12 and was the first IB curriculum school to be rated as outstanding by the KHDA, compared to the DIA branch in the Emirates Hills, this school has a more spacious campus and its mission is to empower the students for success in a highly competitive world, while the motto is to dream, inspire and achieve. The academic success of the students is closely related to their personal goals is recognized by the DIA, Al Barsha's philosophy.
The school's vision is to provide a world-class education, it also welcomes students of different nationalities and was the first school authorized to offer three IB continuum programs which includes the Primary, Middle and IB Diploma, having separate sections that helps the teachers and other staff to give their best.

Achievements

The first cohort of the IB Diploma students took their final examinations in May 2022 and the school celebrated its first IB Diploma results in July 2022. In the examinations 26 students participated, out of which 24 were successful in achieving the Diploma with an average score of 33.2 points, above the global average of 31.98 points, but the UAE figure of 34.03 is slightly below. 69% of candidates achieved 30+ points, whilst 35% obtained 35+ points and 3% obtained over 40 points - with the highest being 41 points etc.

The students of the school have achieved excellence in the field of sports and have also won many awards i.e. from 2016 to 2018, the UAE Teen Sports and Fitness Awards in sports, Emirates Literature Festival, Arts, Dewa Conservation Award 2018, Design Space 2018, Techno Talent Fest 2018, World Scholars Cup, Programming Competition at University of Heriot Watt 2018 and Debating etc.
