Affiliations Memberships

The Dubai International Academy, Al Barsha, will be going through the accreditation and membership of the following organizations as mentioned below.

1. International Baccalaureate - The aim of the International Baccalaureate is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment, for this the organization works with the schools, governments and international organizations to this end. To become an active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right, for which these programs encourages the students across the world.
The Dubai International Academy, Al Barsha, is authorized to offer the Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program and the Diploma Program, constituting the continuum of IB programs for students aged 3-19. The students are challenged by these programs to excel in their studies, and encourage both personal and academic achievement. The schools and the teachers are supported by the IB to provide a rigorous, high-quality education, offering professional development that improves pedagogy and leadership.
A common philosophy shared by the IB World Schools i.e. by delivering challenging, high quality programs of international education that share a powerful vision, there is a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students.
And only the schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programs i.e. the PYP (Primary Years Program), the MYP (Middle Years Program), the Diploma Program or the CP (Career-related Program). The status of the candidate gives no guarantee that the authorization will be granted.

2. The Council of International Schools (CIS) - It is a global non-profit membership organization that provides services to the schools, higher education institutions and individuals focused on international education and is also a membership community working collaboratively for the continuous improvement of the international education.

3. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Inc. USA -  The NEASC mission is to assess and promote the quality of education through the accreditation of its members. It is a voluntary membership organization of the public and independent schools and colleges.

4. The Eco-Schools UAE - It is an international initiative designed to encourage whole-school action for the environment and is an environmental management tool, learning resource and recognized award scheme. The Eco-Schools program engages the children and young people in key issues including the environment, sustainability, global citizenship and the value of a low carbon future and the school is in the process of achieving the Eco-Schools/Green Flag status.

5. Middle East IB Association - MEIBA is the Middle East IB Association of schools, which aims to provide help and support to the schools and institutions of education within the Middle East and neighboring countries which offer, or are considering offering, the International Baccalaureate (IB). In the promotion of the IB mission and its objectives, it assists and for the debate and consultation, acts as a forum.
