To start with the DMES admission process, the parents need to fill out the online admission application. From the official website the application can also be downloaded and submit it to the admission department.

At the time of the submission, the following documents are required as mentioned below:

a. Passport with a valid UAE residence visa (one copy) (only for expatriates).

b. Birth certificate of the candidate (one copy).

c. Family book (one copy) (for the UAE citizens).

d. Health card of the candidate (one copy).

e. Four recent passport-size photographs of the candidate.

f. Emirate ID cards of the candidate and parents (one copy, both sides).

g. Original Emirates ID of the candidate and parents (for scanning purposes).

h. Original transfer certificate (for candidates outside Dubai).

i. Transcript of marks for the last two academic years.

j. Student Information System (SIS) number (for candidates in UAE).

From the other emirates of the UAE those applying must get their transfer certificate attested by the Education zone of that area. In government schools or other Emirates' schools those previously studied should also get their transcripts certified by the Education Zone of that Emirate.

Outside the UAE those applying should get their transfer certificate attested by the previous school, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy. By the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE embassy the transcript must also be certified.

Once submitted, the parents are contacted by the school to bring their child for an assessment. Interviews and entrance tests are included in the assessment. The students need to clear the online Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) test for the Grade 3 onward.

The parents sign a contract and pay the required deposit to secure a seat for their child in the final stage of admission.
