The school timings are as follows:- Teaching Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8.50 am to 3.00 pm and Wednesday from 8.50 am to 2.30 pm // Junior Infants: until December - Monday to Friday 8.50 am to 12.30 pm and January to June - 8.50 am to 2.00 pm. To facilitate parents the Junior School opens at 8.30 am // Break Times: 10.50 am – 11.15 am and 12.30 pm – 1.10 pm etc.
DGS offers the following extracurricular activities:- Arts, Choir, Orchestra, Music, Visual Arts, Debating, Drama etc & other extracurricular activities if any.
DGS offers the following sports:- Athletics/Cross Country, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Equestrian, Gaelic Games, Hockey, Orienteering, Rugby, Soccer/Futsal, Swimming, Tennis, TY Triathlon, Ultimate Frisbee, Spike ball, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, Track and field athletics, Sailing, Horse riding, Aqua-aerobics and gym fitness etc & other sports if any.
The sports facilities include a full-size, floodlit astro-turf pitch, three artificial grass tennis courts, an all-weather hockey pitch and, in nearby grounds, soccer and rugby pitches, a school gymnasium etc & if any.
