The historic Florence Nightingale home, Embley Park, was transformed into a residential school for boys between the ages of 11 and 18 in 1946. The institution merged with an all-girls school in Romsey, formerly known as La Sagesse Convent, in 1996. In 2006, the institution completed a second merger with The Atherley School and changed its name to Hampshire Collegiate School.
The Embley School want their students to develop independence, responsibility and a spirit of curiosity from an early age and this is possible only by offering the students a genuine opportunity to practise them.
