Established in 1917, Epsom Girls' Grammar School is an all-girls school committed to educating young women. It started its operations with 174 students only And today it has around 2200 students. It is one of the largest girls' schools in New Zealand that offers students quality education. The school has a proud history of leading change while continuing to work hard for excellence. With its modern facility, it continues to be a leader in Girl's Education in New Zealand. Educating women to become global leaders is the main motive of the school. It hires professional educators who teach in the best possible ways to the girls.

The school is proud of its NCEA results which consistently show a high level of achievement.  In 2022, 88.7% of level 3 students passed, and 92.16% of level 2 students passed. Students perform very well in certificate endorsements at all levels.
