School History & Details

Farringtons school was established in the year 1922. Queen Mary approved the incorporation of her royal cypher into the school's coat of arms and granted the institution a royal charter. The local girls' school Stratford House, which had started operations in Bickley in 1912, amalgamated with Farringtons. Farringtons and Stratford House had a similar mentality. The combined school, also referred to as FASH, was soon running well as a single entity, and the students now wear the coat of arms that the Farringtons were awarded in 1928 with pride. The school restored to Farringtons School, its previous name, in September 2004.

    School Values

  • Love of learning
  • Respect
  • Much of what Farringtons School do is influenced by the school motto, Posside Sapientiam, which means "Growing in wisdom." Farringtons School, which is founded on Christian principles, strives to be a place of trust and respect where educators actively participate in each student's intellectual, physical, moral, and spiritual growth. They are aware that co-education is the ideal setting for cultivating the social skills required to be successful in the contemporary world. Because of the value they place on encouraging individuality and the small class sizes at Farringtons, they make sure that students prosper in their own unique ways and are inspired to "Develop and Shine."
