School History & Details

The original St. George's School was established in Wicklewood, close to Wymondham, Norfolk, in 1978 by John Sinclair and his family as a military boarding school for boys whose parents were in the armed forces, with Derek Slade serving as Headmaster. After Slade left, the school's proprietors, John and Sue Sinclair, took over management and changed the name to Finborough School. In 2006, the institution merged with Hillcroft Preparatory School.

The senior students receive great GCSE and A level results at the end of the process, sending them all to the institution of their choosing. The "Seven Habits" and a firmly ingrained "better never stops" philosophy have helped Finborough lay a rock solid foundation in both academics and character development.
